Solve the following ratios
A) Divide 50 pens in the ratio of 2 : 3
B) Divide 60 pencils in the ratio of 2 : 4
C) Divide 70 books in the ratio of 3 :4
A) Divide 50 pens in the ratio of 2 : 3
2x + 3x = 50
5x = 50
x = 50 ÷ 5
x = 10
Now we will add the value of x
2 x 10 : 3 x 10
20 : 30
B) Divide 60 pencils in the ratio of 2 : 4
2x + 4x = 60
6x = 60
x = 60 ÷ 6
x = 10
Now we will add the value of x
2 x 10 : 4 x 10
20 : 40
C) Divide 70 books in the ratio of 3 :4
3x + 4x = 70
7x = 70
x = 70 ÷ 7
x = 10
Now we will add the value of x
