Construct Congruent Line Segment with the Help of Compass

Congruent Line Segment (compass)

Below figure represent contruction of a Congruent(same) Line Segment to a given line segment



In the above figure,
we have a line segment AB and we have to construct a same line segment and this is done in the following steps.


1). Measure length of Line Segment AB with the help of compass

2). Draw a ray PQ

3). Place metal point of compass on point P

4). With length (as of step 1), mark an arc which cut ray PQ at O

5). Now PO is a Line segment which is congruent to Line Segment AB
