When the sum of the measures of two angles is equal to 90°, then two angles are referred to as Complementary Angles.
Below Figure represent Complementary Angles.
In the Above Figure,
∠ ABC = 60° and
∠ PQR = 30°.
Now, add both the angles and we get;
∠ ABC + ∠ PQR = 60° + 30° = 90°
Since sum of measure of both the angles is equal to 90°,
Therefore, ∠ ABC and ∠ PQR are Complementary Angles. |
