Properties Multiplication of Decimals

  • Property 1: When a decimal is multiplied by a whole number, decimal places in product and given decimal are same.

  • Property 2: When a decimal is multiplied by another decimal, decimal places in product are equal to sum of decimal places in multiplicand and multiplier.

  • Property 3: When a decimal is multiplied by 1, the product is equals to the given decimal itself.

  • Property 4: Product of a decimal and zero results in zero itself.

  • Property 5: Product of two decimals remains same, even if change their order of multiplication

  • Property 6 : Product of more than two decimals remains same, even if we change their grouping.
