Proper Fraction

Proper Fraction | Improper Fraction | Like Fractions | Unlike Fractions | Decimal Fraction | Mixed Fraction | Equivalent Fractions |

Definition :-
A Fraction in which numerator is less then denominator is known as Proper Fraction.
A Proper Fraction is written in the form of p/q; where p < q (symbol "<" denotes "is less than").
e.g. 2/3, 5/11, 10/45, 26/124

Following examples further explain Proper Fractions

Example 1 = Find Proper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
                      1/3, 4/2, 5/3, 22/42, 234/123, 7/8, 124/500.
Answer      = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is smaller than denominator.
So, Proper Fractions are 1/3, 22/42, 7/8, 124/500.

Example 2 = Find Proper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
                      5/6, 66/77, 220/123, 20/30, 45/50, 845/2, 45/856.
Answer      = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is smaller than denominator.
So, Proper Fractions are 5/6, 66/77, 20/30, 45/50, 58/856.

Example 3 = Find Proper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
                      32/2, 45/54, 2/100, 14/11, 25/5, 6/66, 100/22.
Answer      = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is smaller than denominator.
So, Proper Fractions are 45/54, 2/100, 6/66.

Example 4 = Find Proper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
                      78/110, 92/40, 876/1234, 543/11, 32/760, 3/763, 76/4.
Answer      = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is smaller than denominator.
So, Proper Fractions are 78/110, 876/1234, 32/760, 3/763.

Example 5 = Find Proper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
                      24/789, 90/5, 5/90, 567/92, 789/987, 2/9, 10/ 66, 5/4.
Answer      = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is smaller than denominator.
So, Proper Fractions are 24/789, 5/90, 789/987, 2/9, 10/ 66.
