Point of Line Intersection

Point of Line Intersection

Before you understand what is point of intersection, you must know:

What are lines ?
What are intersecting Lines ?

Definition : Point of Intersection is a point at which intersecting lines intersect each other.

Or in other words:

A common point at which two lines meet each other is known as Point of Intersection.

E.g. In the following diagram:

Lines P and Q are intersecting lines intersecting at point "O".

Or we can also say that:

Lines P and Q meet each other at a common point i.e. "O"

Hence, Point "O" is referred as Point of Intersection of line P and Q
