Definition :-
A Fraction in which numerator is greater then denominator is known as Improper Fraction.
An Improper Fraction is written in the form of p/q; where p > q (symbol ">" denotes "is greater than").
e.g. 2/3, 5/11, 10/45, 26/124
Following examples further explain Improper Fractions
Example 1 = Find Improper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
1/3, 4/2, 5/3, 22/42, 234/123, 7/8, 124/500.
Answer = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is greater than denominator.
So, Improper Fractions are 4/2, 5/3, 234/123.
Example 2 = Find Improper Fraction from the list of given fractions:
5/6, 66/77, 220/123, 20/30, 45/50, 845/2, 45/856.
Answer = From the given list of fraction, pick the fractions whose numerator is greater than denominator.
So, Improper Fractions are 220/123, 845/2.
