Following examples further explain Fact 4 of Factors
Example 1 = Discuss the Fact "Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number" with help of given number 27.
Answer = Find factors of given number 27.
Factors are = 1, 3, 9, 27.
Now, divide the given number by all it's factors.
27 ÷ 1 = 27
27 ÷ 3 = 9
27 ÷ 9 = 3
27 ÷ 27 = 0
As you notice that all the factors divides the given number exactly (without leaving any remainder).
Hence, it is clear that Every factor of a given number is an exact divisor of that given number
Example 2 = Discuss the Fact "Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number" with help of given number 10.
Answer = Find factors of given number 10.
Factors are = 1, 2, 5, 10.
Out of the above factors can you find any factor which does not exactly divide the given number 10 ?
Hence it is clear that Every factor of a given number is an exact divisor of that given number
