Fact - 2 (Factors)

Fact - 1 (Factors) | Fact - 2 (Factors) | Fact - 3 (Factors) | Fact - 4 (Factors) | Fact - 5 (Factors) |

Fact 2 = Every factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number.

Following examples further explain Fact 2 of Factors

Example 1 = Discuss the Fact "Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number" with help of given number 12.
Answer = Find factors of given number 12.
Factors are = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12.
Now, the factors 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, all are less than the given number.
And the remaining factor is equal to the given number i.e 12.
So, the fact is clear that Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number

Example 2 = Discuss the Fact "Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number" with help of given number 27.
Answer = Find factors of given number 27.
Factors are = 1, 3, 9, 27.
On studying the factors, we learn two points :-
Point 1 = The factors 1, 3 and 9 all are less than the given number.
Point 2 = The remaining factor is equal to the given number i.e 27.
Hence, Point 1 and 2 clears the Fact that Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number

Example 3 = Discuss the Fact "Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number" with help of given number 14.
Answer = Find factors of given number 14.
Factors are = 1, 2, 7, 14.
In the above factors, Can you find any number which is greater than the given number ?
So, the fact is clear that Every Factor of a given number is either less than or equal to given number
