How many altitudes can a triangle have ?
As we know that a triangle has three vertices's and three sides and altitude one end is at vertex and other on opposite side.
Therefore we can say that there can be three altitudes in a triangle.

In the below triangle ABC:



AY is perpendicular to BC
BZ is perpendicular to AC
CX is perpendicular to AB
