Definition
The numbers which have 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 at its ones place are called Even Numbers.
In simple words, all numbers which are divisible by 2 are known as Even Numbers.

Following examples further explain What are Even Numbers ?

Example 1 = From the given series of whole numbers find which are even numbers ?
Given series = 24, 39, 66, 101, 200, 877, 999.
Answer = Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which are divisible by 2 and we get
Even Numbers are 24, 66, 200.

Example 2 = From the given series of whole numbers find which are even numbers ?
Given series = 12, 256, 19870, 333, 888, 675.
Answer = Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which have 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 at its ones place and so we get,
Even Numbers are 12, 256, 19870, 888.

Example 3 = From the given series of whole numbers find which are even numbers ?
Given series = 440, 43, 76, 77, 9999, 427, 900, 709, 242
Answer = Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which are divisible by 2 and we get
Even Numbers are 440, 76, 900, 242.

Example 4 = From the given series of whole numbers find which are even numbers ?
Given series = 99, 88, 77, 66, 55, 6546, 9089,
Answer = Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which have 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 at its ones place and so we get,
Even Numbers are 88, 66, 6546
